A Little about

Tolwis Publishing

Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, Tolwis Publishing was founded in 2015 by Gama Ray Martinez. Tolwis was started to provide fantasy or science fiction novels written for school-age children (also called middle-grade novels). Known for turning even the silliest concepts into epic sagas, Gama wanted to foster this creativity for his audience.

In 2020 he joined with Melissa Dalton Martinez to expand Tolwis by including books for younger children and books for young adults. The first of these new book types will be published in August 2021, starting with the chapter book The Story of Doctor Dolittle: Revised, Newly Illustrated Edition. Also in 2021, Tolwis will begin publish a children’s coloring book, a children’s picture book, and a young adult fantasy novel.

Currently, we are open for submissions only for fantasy books meant for children and young adults. We love fantasy of all kinds, especially with a unique twist.
